Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going big for its next entry, with open world exploration, wide mission variety, and decision-based storytelling offering the largest amount of freedom in the series yet. Having this newfound emphasis on depth, Ubisoft surprised few by recently halting its trend of yearly releases, but in doing so begged the question of how they’ fill those vacant months. A new rumor may have spilled the beans on at least one of those plans, namely, an adventure among the mythical city of Atlantis.

Rumors of the underwater setting were reported by Eurogamer, with the outlet suggesting a themed expansion could be dropping sometime in the future. The casual hint is in reference to a Reddit thread originating from a few weeks ago, werein users addressed the possibilities of a supposedly leaked Atlantis DLC. It was proposed that the aquatic city was originally to be included in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, but was cut to be offered as post-launch content.
