Resident Evil 3 Remake Possibly Teased By Capcom

Resident Evil 3 Remake

There is no denying that fans are gearing up to get their hands on the upcoming “remake” of Resident Evil 2. With a bounty of improvements set to bring the popular game into the modern age, it’s difficult not to get excited. That said, Capcom recently tweeted a photo that has fans wondering if a Resident Evil 3 remake is also on the way.

The video game company recently sent out a tweet in celebration of Friday The 13th. The photo in question features a cardboard cutout of one of the baddest baddies from the Resident Evil franchise: Nemesis. Check it out below:

Now, this could very well just be the company wanting to join in on the spirit of Friday The 13th by sharing their own relentless monster. However, fans weren’t going to let it remain as such. Instead, a host of fans were quick to jump on the Resident Evil 3 remake bandwagon. Here are a few of the responses:

For those unaware of the devastation brought on by Nemesis, here’s more about the character from the Villains Wiki:

“Nemesis was developed by Paris Labs of Umbrella’s European Branch as one of the Nemesis T-Types, an offshoot of the Tyrant Project. The idea behind them was to create a B.O.W. that still had the power of a Tyrant, but more intelligent and able to follow orders.

They were finally successful when the NE-T virus was developed, a new virus created by the NE-α parasite. When placed in a compatible host, the parasite caused violent mutation but allowed them to retain their intelligence and also gave rapid regeneration from almost any injury.”

The unfortunate truth of the matter is that there should be salt everywhere with this. Sure, after the excitement surrounding the Resident Evil 2 revival, it’s very possible that Capcom would want to keep that train rolling with a Resident Evil 3 remake. Until they decide to make any sort of official announcement, however, we can only assume.

Resident Evil 2 (not a remake) is set to arrive on January 25, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as we keep our peepers wide open for any word on a return of Nemesis, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
