Bad Company 3 Will Be This Year’s Battlefield Title, According To New Rumor
Many gamers have been wondering what this year’s entry into the Battlefield franchise is going to be, but EA DICE has been rather quiet about the topic. This, of course, hasn’t stopped people from speculating. The main rumors to be making the rounds point to Bad Company 3 being the next installment, and that is especially true after a recent tweet from a supposed DICE developer.
The tweet, which has since been deleted, simply stated that Battlefield 2018 will be Bad Company 3. People were quick to reply with hesitation as they didn’t know who this person was. However, the alleged developer’s Twitter says DICE in the bio, and some followers pointed out that the account is followed by the official Battlefield page as well as other developers from DICE. Take a look at the deleted tweet below (courtesy of ResetEra):
This development certainly conflicts with past rumors that pointed to a WWII-based Battlefield 5 being the next installment. Of course, with DICE having a couple different development teams, there is always the possibility that both titles are currently being worked on. As to which game will arrive in 2018 will remain to be seen until an official announcement.
Whether it’s Bad Company 3 or Battlefield 5, the next entry into the franchise is expected to be playable before this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo at the EA Play event. We can only imagine that some sort of official word from the developer will arrive in the coming weeks.
