One of the most surprising reveals for Nintendo fans in the Nintendo Switch video announcement was the presence of Bethesda’s highly acclaimed Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim. Not only were fans pleasantly astonished to see Skyrim on a Nintendo console, but also elated at the idea of playing what is perhaps the most popular entry in the Elder Scrolls series on the go. Now, someone very integral to the franchise is speaking about the Switch, as well as the status of Elder Scrolls Six.

In a new interview with Glixel, Bethesda’s Todd Howard spoke about his experience with the Nintendo Switch at E3. “I love it. I got to play it. I will tell you–well, maybe that’s an N.D.A. thing,” said Howard. “One of the best demos I’ve ever seen. Probably the best demo I’ve ever seen. At E3.” Howard also stated his belief that the game will be the same on the TV as it will on the Switch’s portable screen.

Fans will also be excited to learn that Elder Scrolls Six is indeed in the works, but fans may need to set their expectations based on Howard’s given status on the project. “It’s not what you would call a big, active project right now. There are some other ones that we have going,” said Howard. “It’s certainly a game that we’ll be making one day. I could sit here and explain to you exactly what we want it to be.”

I, for one, am excited to see Skyrim on a Nintendo console, and I’m glad Bethesda is being open about their work on Elder Scrolls Six.
