The Battle.net Nexus Challenge Gets You the Overwatch Genji Oni Skin! Here’s How!
Battle.net has issued the Nexus Challenge for players all around the world! Between November 15th and January 4th, anyone can do it and receive all sorts of sweet in-game rewards -including a skin for Genji from Overwatch. This promotion encourages players to meet new people, play with friends, and try out the title for themselves. In order to participate, you must play a certain amount of Heroes of the Storm matches. It can be any combination of “Co-Op versus AI, Quick Match, Unranked Draft, or Ranked Draft modes.”
There are two tiers of rewards for the Nexus Challenge:
If you play and complete 15 Heroes of the Storm games, you can get an in-game Overwatch Oni skin for the younger Shimada brother, Genji, as well as a portrait and spray. In Heroes of the Storm, you unlock the playable Zarya and an Oni Genji portrait. If you complete 30 games, you get a bunch of playable characters for Heroes of the Storm, a mount, and a Stimpack:
- Auriel
- Greymane
- Kerrigan
- Li-Ming
- Orochi Hovercycle Mount
- 30-Day Stimpack
This is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players as well, via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live programs. As long as you link it to your Battle.net account. If you’re unsure how to do so, it just takes a few easy steps. There are 2 ways to go about this:
Via Battle.net
- Once you get to the Battle.net site, log in.
- Select the “Manage your Connected Accounts” link and click Connect next to the account you want to associate it with.
In-Game
- Once you have logged in, open the main menu and click on Link Account. This will disconnect you to the Overwatch server temporarily, so don’t panic!
- Log in and enter in all the necessary information.
- Choose Return to Connected Accounts.
- Once you have played the required amount of games, select Redeem Digital Goodies to claim the sweet in-game rewards for the connected Battle.net account!
