The Lost Child Japanese RPG Coming Soon To North America (VIDEO)
The Lost Child, a “legend-based” Japanese RPG by developer Kadokawa Games, is coming soon to North America. According to a newly released trailer from NIS America, the story follow an “occult journalist” by the name of Hayato Ibuki, who is gifted with a powerful weapon to be used in the destruction of powerful demons. He encounters celestial entities and demons he can bend at will to further his goal of saving humanity and solving mysteries around Japan. Check out the latest trailer “Walking Among Gods” below:
Occult journalist Hayato Ibuki encounters a strange girl during his investigations into a series of mysterious suicides in Tokyo. She implores that Hayato must live, before bestowing upon him a mystical device that allows him to capture celestial and arcane creatures. He is now thrust into a world beyond our own, home to horrific monsters and celestial beings. In it, he must delve into dungeons called Layers and solve the mystery of the device. Where his journey leads him could decide the fate of our world…”
The Lost Child is a Japanese RPG with a dungeon crawl feel. Players must travel through Layers to capture Astrals and other beings to fight by their side. Travel to different areas in Japan to investigate these “dungeons” such as Shinjuku, Subway Station, Ginza, and Tocho. What clues will Hayato find and what will they reveal?
The Lost Child has a release window for Summer 2018 for the time being and will be available for PlayStation 4 and the PS Vita. Pre-order the base game here. If you’ve heard of this JRPG before and looking to purchase a collector’s edition, check out the pre-orders now available for the limited edition PS4 release. It includes the official soundtrack, hardcover art book, collector’s box, and of course the game. Those residing in Europe will be glad to know it’s available for purchase there too.
