We are less than a month away from the release of the highly anticipated Lord of the Rings based action RPG, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. The sequel to 2014’s Shadow of Mordor will offer players more choices than its predecessor, and to prove just how much those choices affect the outcome of the game, a live-action, interactive trailer has been released. The Friend or Foe trailer will allow viewers to make a few decisions to determine how the remainder of the trailer will play out.

One of Shadow of War’s key improvements is that of the Nemesis system, which allows players to take over and control several tribes of Orcs. Players will have the option to eliminate rival tribes or convince them to join your cause. The interactive trailer gives a slight taste as to what those decisions could feel like. As outlined in the video, every choice matters and “nothing will be forgotten”. You can make your choices in the video below:

More than showing off the consequences of player decisions, the interactive trailer also sheds some light on how important alliances can be throughout Shadow of War. For instance, if in the video one chooses to save the allied Orc, he will swear his allegiance and you are faced with yet another decision of how he will help you. At the end of the trailer, fans will be able to see how many other people made the same choices by way of overall percentage.
