New Kingdom Hearts Vinimates Toys Announced to Celebrate the Series’ 15th Anniversary
The Kingdom Hearts series celebrated its 15th anniversary earlier this year with the release of both Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX on PlayStation 4, which made most of the franchise’s history available on a single platform. While fans were hit with a bit of sour news of an added delay on the much awaited Kingdom Hearts III, there appears to still be more new additions to the 15th anniversary celebrations to keep fans happy. Diamond Select Toys announced a new set of Kingdom Hearts II figures earlier this year, and now it appears they also have a new line of Kingdom Hearts Vinimates in store for Keyblade lovers too.
This new line of Kingdom Hearts Vinimates will arrive later this Fall for $10 each and contains the Kingdom Hearts II versions of Sora, Donald Duck, Goofy, and Mickey Mouse. The newer Vinimates line that these are a part of differs from the popular Minimates that Diamond Select is known. These figures average around four inches in height, as opposed to the Minimates’ line averaging around two inch tall figures. Check them out below:
The Sora figure is seen with his trusty Keyblade and while the Donald, Goofy and Mickey figures are not shown with their signature weapons, their figures do have the Vinimates-standard accessory slots in their hands, so it seems likely Donald’s Staff, Goofy’s Shield, and Mickey’s Keyblade will be included. What do you guys think about these Kingdom Hearts Vinimates? What characters from the series would you like to see added to the line? Let us know in the comments below!
