Jaw Dropping New Live-Action Trailer for Dishonored 2 (Video)
To make Monday a bit more bearable for everyone, Bethesda just dropped a stunning live-action trailer for their highly anticipated Dishonored 2 game. The sequel to the 2012 stealth action-adventure game of the year leaps forward in time from the previous game to a very grown up Empress Emily Kaldwin and her now even older father, Corvo Attano.
The trailer features the main antagonist of the game, a mysterious “otherworldly usurper” who’s stolen the throne of Karnaca away from Emily. This time around players have a choice to play as original protagonist Corvo or the Empress Emily who’s left with little choice but to follow in her father’s footsteps. It appears that instead of switching back and forth between the two characters, the one you pick near the beginning of the game will be your hero throughout it’s entirety.
Watch both Emily and Corvo employ their own unique set of supernatural abilities in a battle to retake the crown below.

While the original game took place in the rat overrun city of Dunwall, the follow up is set in the empire’s capital, the island of Serkonos which is now infested with blood flies (Yuck!). At this time, it is unknown exactly who this “otherworldly usurper” is but the wording itself may hold a clue. Corvo and Emily both obtain their supernatural abilities from a character called “The Outsider”. Perhaps the game’s new villain is connected to him in some way. For those of you who’ve played the first game, I think the majority would agree that the phrase “otherworldly” is a good descriptor for “The Outsider” as well. We don’t have very long to wait though; Dishonored 2 releases next month on November 11. 2016
Are you excited to play as Emily or will you be sticking with Corvo? Do you have any theories on the identity of this mysterious usurper?
