Silent Hill DLC Announced For Monsters And Mortals (VIDEO)
The video game industry has seen many major franchises rise in power and wane in presence, with some of the more recent cases of the latter being those owned by Konami. The Japanese conglomerate has seemingly opted to gradually reduce its focus on the traditional gaming industry in favor of mobile and arcade sectors of gaming. This has meant taking a step back from major franchises like Metal Gear and Silent Hill, at least for modern games. However, these series’ have managed to live on as DLC in games like Dead By Daylight. It appears this trend will continue with the newly announced Silent Hill DLC for Dark Deception: Monsters And Mortals.
Publisher/developer Glowstick Entertainment recently revealed the new teaser trailer for the Dark Deception: Monsters And Mortals Silent Hill DLC on its official YouTube channel. The teaser trailer shows the logo for the crossover horror title, followed by text reading “A new challenger approaches.” Within this text, iconic elements and characters from the Silent Hill games are seen, including Pyramid Head and Robbie the Rabbit.
A voice is also heard saying “In my restless dreams, I see that town… Silent Hill.” Many have taken this to mean that the DLC might primarily include Silent Hill 2-related content, while the elements seen in the text in the trailer appear to focus more on Silent Hill 3’s imagery. No other details are yet known, but Glowstick Entertainment has promised that a presentation related to the Silent Hill DLC will occur sometime soon ahead of the DLC’s launch in February. While Silent Hill fans are surely still sad to see Konami keeping the franchise away from having new games of its own, it is nice to see them let other developers have fun with the Silent Hill toys they aren’t playing with.
