It’s here, it’s here! The latest Logan trailer is finally here! We’re not excited…you’re excited! Okay, enough with the yelling and let’s get down to business. Logan is going to be the last time we see Hugh Jackman don the claws as everyone’s favorite cigar smoking, foul-mouthed badass with a heart of gold, Wolverine. That’s, of course, if Ryan Reynolds can’t convince Hugh to be in a Deadpool film with him(#WolverineBondDeadpool).

In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”

The newest Logan trailer, which was announced a few days ago, features Jackman as the titular character, only much older and a little rough around the edges. At least, more so than usual. We also see an ailing Professor Xavier attempting to keep an older, more ornery Logan in check with the almighty force of guilt. This brings us to the young, yet violent X-23.

We first see X-23 at the beginning of the trailer loading up on snacks. After popping open a can of Pringles, the gas station clerk decides to tempt fate and inform the child that she has to pay for them. As one with knowledge of X-23 might know, this was not a wise decision. Just before ending the clerk for good, Logan steps in to stop her with an authoritative and father-like “NOT OKAY!” They proceed to leave, but not before Logan helps himself to some cigars that were on the counter. After that, we get a clear picture of what is to come with the new film. Prepare for a bit of gore and check out the trailer below:

Logan is being released on March 3 and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Dafine Keen, and Boyd Holbrook. It is directed by James Mangold and is being distributed by 20th Century Fox, who uploaded the latest Logan trailer to their YouTube channel. Along with it, came the following description: “In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”
