Final Fantasy VII Remake Reveals New Classic Artwork Throwbacks

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is officially less than three months away from release, and Square Enix continues to build hype for the upcoming title by releasing batches of screenshots and new trailers. As such, this year’s The Game Awards saw the reveal of yet another Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer centered around Cloud Strife and peppered with another dose of new footage for those watching. Now, Square Enix has released another batch of content, this time in the form of a few pieces of art that celebrate the original game.

Square Enix recently took to Twitter to release a few pieces of recreated artwork from the original Final Fantasy VII. Both shots are absolutely iconic and integral to the imagery and story from the original game, and as such they both manage to bring the feels here in glorious fashion. Check ’em out below:

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is slated to release on March 3, 2020, with the game’s PS4 exclusivity status seemingly ending one year after release.
