Cyberpunk 2077 Multiple Endings Confirmed By CD Projekt Red (VIDEO)
Cyberpunk 2077’s appearance at the Microsoft press conference has remained as one of the highlights of E3 2019. The surprise of Keanu Reeves in the game’s trailer and live appearance at the event were breathtaking enough, but the details revealed about the game that followed only continued to amaze fans. To allow for greater diversity, it was confirmed that character customization would be non-gender specific, and it was also stated that players could complete the game without killing anyone. With so much player agency, many have wondered if the narrative could lead to different destinations. Well, those with questions about the possibility of Cyberpunk 2077 multiple endings may be pleasantly satiated.
Cyberpunk 2077 Quest Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz recently spoke with YongYea, who released the interview on his official YouTube channel. Many questions about the game came up during the interview, but one of new significance came when Tomaszkiewicz was asked about whether there would be multiple endings in the game. Thankfully, Tomaszkiewicz did not beat around the bush for this inquiry, affirming multiple endings with a simple “yes.”
Some answers during the interview were less useful, as Tomaszkiewicz could not give any estimate yet as to how long it would take to finish the main story mode for the game without doing any side missions. Other questions were thankfully positive, such as Tomaszkiewicz sharing that a photo mode could happen. As he states, “For sure this is something we are considering seriously, seeing how popular this feature is in many different games. Is it going to happen? It’s hard to tell at this point.” It is quite nice that CD Projekt Red allowed Tomaszkiewicz to answer these crucial questions so directly. This will certainly help temper the expectations some fans may have regarding the game and its features. Time will tell just what does or doesn’t make the cut when the game launches next year. Until then, we can all practice augmenting our bodies with mechanical parts by covering our arms with tin foil.
