612 Games’ MMO Wild West Online Closed Alpha Testing Begins Next Month

The Red Dead Redemption-like MMO that’s taking the gaming world by storm is preparing for a vital stage in game development. 612 Games’ Wild West Online closed alpha testing begins next month and they’ll need your help and input to make it into the game many people are hoping for. Like most closed alpha testing periods, it isn’t without a purchased ticket in, but it’s not bad. Considering all the goodies that come along with it, aside from the core game once it is officially released, players get to be a part of that game’s history and development. Right now, 612 Games is offering three different pre-release packages — Townie, Pioneer, and Collector — and they’re all going for a largely discounted price.

In order to participate in the Wild West Online closed alpha, prospective players will need to purchase Pioneer or Collector, which will run you $40 or $60 respectively. Although the discounts will remain available until the alpha testing begins, 612 Games says that participating in this stage of the game may not be the product some some will be expecting. In fact, true to all games in this stage of development, there will be bugs and features that won’t necessarily function as they should.

It does require patience and constructive feedback to the creators, so they can create the best game possible. If you should change your mind after making a purchase, 612 Games offers “unconditional refunds”. Up until the second phase of alpha testing, that is. Heck, check out the alpha and see if it’s something you fancy and, if not, that’s no problem and no questions asked.

The Wild West Online closed alpha begins September 15th, 2017 with the closed beta following not far behind sometime mid-Fall 2017. The game is expected to fully release in December this year. For more information on system requirements and in-game features and systems, check out their official website here. there’s a “crime and punishment” to sway a player’s personal decision between lawful  or unlawful citizen. There’s also PvE adventures and even free expansions available to all once it debuts.

So, gamers, will you be purchasing a pre-release bundle, or have you done so already?
