Firaxis is all about celebrating the player base and the support they’ve received over the years, which is why they’ve announced a brand new DLC for XCOM 2. As a heartfelt thanks to the loyal fans, the developers are releasing a free DLC titled the “Tactical Legacy Pack,” containing a ton of new gear, missions, gameplay modes, and much more. Yes, it’s a hundred percent free until December 3rd, 2018, at which point it will go on sale for all other interested parties.

In the video below, XCOM creative director Jake Solomon, provides an insightful overview of all the content to come with the Tactical Legacy Pack. It includes a total of 28 maps, new customization options, an offline challenge mode – the list goes on. Check it out:

The Tactical Legacy Pack is available for free for a limited time only. This offer is only applicable for those in possession of the base XCOM 2 game as well as the War of the Chosen expansion. This will become available on October 9th, 2018 until December 3rd, 2018 for PC players. After that, it will go on sale for $7.99. Make sure to grab it up before it’s too late! Here’s what Solomon wants fans to know:

The team and I, we looked back at the entire series. From the original game XCOM: UFO Defense to XCOM: Enemy Within to find inspiration in creating new game modes, stories, maps, and equipment to remaster for XCOM 2: War of the Chosen. So this is our thank you to all of the fans, as well as the creators of UFO Defense for starting something truly amazing.”
