Microsoft’s premium Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service was also confirmed to be currently live, combining Microsoft’s most prominent gaming services–Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass, and Game Pass for PC–into a single subscription. Pricing for Ultimate currently retails for $14.99 USD, but the recent launch will net players all these benefits for only $1 for a limited time. Some already-subscribed users will also be able to get Game Pass for PC for no additional cost.

“New members and existing Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for Console members can join or upgrade today and get their first month for just $1,” confirmed Xbox. “Additionally, if you’re a current Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass member, and have pre-paid months on your account, you’ll get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate credit for those months when you upgrade.” As an added bonus, members of Ultimate were also guaranteed access to “Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, the Ultimate Edition Character Pack, 30 Days of Boost and Early Access to the title four days before its worldwide launch.” Check out the trailer showcase below.

Whether it be standard or Ultimate, Xbox Game Pass also grants “up to 20% off games and up to 10% off DLC and add-ons for titles in their Xbox Game Pass library.” As an added perk for joining, members of either tier “will also be invited to participate in the Tech Test of Gears 5 in July and get their first taste of the adventure ahead of its release.” State of Decay 2’s NEW Heartland expansion was also confirmed to be free for all subscribers.
