Witcher Netflix Series Picks Up Punisher, Daredevil Director For Final Episode

It was recently leaked that Netflix’s The Witcher had moved onto its third filming location, a castle within Poland called Orgrodzieniec Castle. Now new information has arisen indicating that director Marc Jobst, who worked on both Netflix’s Daredevil and Punisher series, was also on location as the director for the final episode of the series.

A leaked set clapboard from the Poland location reveals quite a few tasty morsels for fans to digest. Firstly, the 8th and final episode of the Witcher series will take place within the castle itself, though how much it will play into the episode remains to be seen. Secondly, and most importantly, the clapboard refers to the director as being “Marc” rather than Alik Sakharov who many were led to believe was directing the episode. Of course, this was later revealed to be Marc Jobst, who was also mentioned on the resume of actor Jack Bandeira, the actor cast to play the role of “Young Alderman”.

If that wasn’t convincing enough, a recent post to Twitter by Jobst reveals that he is indeed directing in Poland. A picture featuring a Chair of Torture held a caption that read “Poland. My new director’s chair. Shoot! Fast!”. While the image didn’t state anything about working on Netflix’s The Witcher, previous evidence helps paint a pretty convincing picture that the director is indeed a part of the project.

There’s no official release date for Netflix’s The Witcher series but the show has been confirmed to be coming sometime later this year.
