Watch Dogs 3 Accidentally Confirmed By Ubisoft (VIDEO)
Ubisoft may have accidentally (or not) let the cat out of the bag in regards to Watch Dogs 3. Despite the sales numbers of Watch Dogs 2 not even coming close to the original game, Ubisoft went on record stating how happy it was with the sequel thanks to the positive reception between critics and players. Up until now the third game in the series hasn’t actually been confirmed, though a series of interesting events that began on April Fool’s Day seem to be hinting that the third game is on its way.
April Fool’s Day was a pretty wild one this year, with loads of developers and fans throwing around fake game confirmations and questionable battle royale modes ’til the sun came down. Ubisoft took a much more measured approach, tweeting out a post through its Watch Dogs Twitter account that simply said “This is everything,” which the publisher quickly deleted. If that isn’t enough, Ubisoft’s virtual assistant, SAM, adds another piece to the puzzle. When asked about Watch Dogs 3, SAM responds by saying “Watch Dogs 3 is not finished yet, but from the last early build I tried, it’s solid. The dev team works wonders, can’t wait for you to try it.” According to the video above multiple different SAM users have received the same answer from the AI, so it isn’t a simple one-off. Only time will tell whether or not Watch Dogs 3 will end up becoming a reality, though odds are we’ll be hacking our way through another city sooner rather than later.
So, thoughts on the possible confirmation from Ubisoft? Looking forward to a Watch Dogs 3, or did the second game turn you off the series?
