Watch Dogs 3 Leak Reveals First Gameplay And Story Details
With E3 2019 rapidly approaching, fans have already begun placing their bets on which games – previously announced and otherwise – will be making an appearance during one of the expo’s many showcases. What we’ve also begun to see is developers making announcements ahead of E3 2019 proper, and it appears that Ubisoft may be doing the same thing with Watch Dogs 3, if a new leak is to be believed.
The leak in question comes by way of Reddit, with a single image detailing loads of new information regarding Watch Dogs 3. According to the leak, the game will take place in London, which gels with reports we’ve received earlier this year. The game will also feature a new protagonist by the name of Sarah, who is half Asian half English. “She works for a counter terrorist organisation in a branch that specializes in stopping cyber attacks,” the leak reads.
She is tasked with infiltrating a hacker group, bringing their operations down and finding out who is in charge.”
In terms of gameplay, parkour will reportedly be making a return from Watch Dogs 2, and it has been revised to “feel more fluid and natural.” The protagonist will be able to skateboard and graffiti. This protagonist will seemingly land on the non-lethal side of things, preferring batons, tasers and other non lethal weaponry to guns or knives.
Circling back to the London settings, the game will reportedly be set in the “near future” and the city will feel “more cyberpunk than the other games.” According to the leak, we can expect a tease just two weeks prior to E3, with Ubisoft planning to do a full gameplay reveal at some point during the expo. The leak also suggests that Watch Dogs 3 will be releasing November 2019.
As always, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, though the above info certainly doesn’t seem out of place from what we’ve previously heard about the game. If the leak is to be believed, we won’t need to wait too long to learn more.
Watch Dogs 3 is now in development.
