The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3 Release Date Revealed In New Trailer (VIDEO)

Telltale Games experienced widespread severance-free layoffs earlier this year and the state of the developer’s slate of anticipated projects were effectively left up in the air. Of the few projects abandoned, none earned more upset than the premature end of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, which was previously set to deliver a definitive Final Season.

Luckily, Skybound Games saw fit to step-in at the final hour, acquiring the episodic title and resuming production with a crew of former Telltale personnel. With a third episode on the way, a new trailer has new debuted showing off an emotional montage of Clementine’s journey thus far. The footage provides a title (“Broken Toys”) as well as a release date for the upcoming episode, which is currently set for January 15th, 2019. Check it out below.

With a release date set for the penultimate installment of Clementine’s adventure, Telltale’s The Walking Dead is now on track to finally complete its Final Season. Episode 3 was originally slated to debut back on November 6th but was indefinitely delayed following Telltale’s majority closure. A simple month’s wait is likely a welcome surprise for fans especially since development began only a few weeks ago.

Episode 2 of The Walking Dead: The Final Season is out now for Android, iOS, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Episode 3 will release on January 15th, 2019.
