The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series Collection Is Available Now (VIDEO)

The closure of Telltale Games earlier this year coincided with the end of their flagship series The Walking Dead, ending the story of lead character Clementine following four seasons of episodic adventures. Though Telltale is now on the rebound, the series has since been taken over by Skybound Games, the studio completing work on the games’ Final Season as well as a subsequent physical version for good measure. The four-season saga is now available to enjoy in an enhanced collection called The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series.

Collecting The Walking Dead: Season One, Season Two, A New Frontier, and The Final Season, ‘The Telltale Definitive Series’ also includes spin-off content such as The Walking Dead: Michonne as well as the multi-perspective 400 Days DLC. Each episode in this pack is to receive an enhanced visual upgrade, adding The Final Season’s gameplay improvements, full dynamic lighting, and “Graphic Black” art style applied to every episode of the series. The collection also includes numerous extras such as music soundtracks, art galleries, and over 10 hours of behind-the-scenes material. Check out the trailer and official description from Skybound below.

Play the series that revolutionized storytelling in games. The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series contains all 4 Seasons, 400 DAYS DLC, and The Walking Dead: Michonne. Experience the full story of young survivor Clementine as she grows from scared little girl to capable survivor. A light of hope in a dark world, Clementine goes through many protectors and weathers many threats, learning to fight back in an apocalypse where the weak are crushed and the cruel get results. Always at a disadvantage, Clementine must outsmart and out-will foes stronger than her, and become one of the toughest people still alive, despite her small stature. It’s up to you how much Clementine trusts, who she loves, who she hurts, and what she chooses to protect when you cannot save everyone.”

Though The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is not yet set to arrive on Nintendo Switch, Skybound had announced The Walking Dead: Season Two and A New Frontier would be joining the system instead; each game (including Season One) featuring similar gameplay and visual improvements as the “Graphic Black” upgrade. However, it appears that these enhanced Switch ports will no longer release on time, Skybound confirming a delay and assuring further news soon over social media.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
