Updata Data Files Point to New No Man’s Sky Vehicle in Upcoming Update

No Man's Sky Vehicle

We have very recently seen a push by Hello Games to provide requested improvements to No Man’s Sky, after its first few months in front of players has been met with an overwhelming amount mixed criticism, moreso leaning towards the negative side. The latest update added the much requested base-building function in what it is calling “The Foundation Update”. This significant update also seems to have unintentionally hinted at another feature sure to please fans, as it seems a new No Man’s Sky vehicle is coming.

No Man's Sky Vehicle

Deep within the latest update, Reddit user eegandj has found data files that point to a new land vehicle that should be coming in its complete form in a later update. Some of eegandj’s findings include a model and textures in a file labeled “Buggy”. The user’s reddit posting also includes a video which shows the land buggy vehicle as well as its in-game schematics. While eegandj has posted the files which PC users can import into the game as a mod, the vehicle does not currently function as it is likely intended to. Should the vehicle arrive in a future update, it would most definitely help appease critics of the game who found traversal of the game’s planets to be tedious and time-consuming.

There has not been any official confirmation of plans to add this vehicle by Hello Games, but they have hinted at the recent base-building update fittingly being a foundation for updates to come. What do you guys think? Are you hoping that the buggy does indeed come to No Man’s Sky soon? What No Man’s Sky vehicle or feature would you like to see added to the game?
