Two Assassin’s Creed Games Reportedly Coming To Nintendo Switch
Earlier this year Assassin’s Creed III made its way over to the Nintendo Switch, making it the first installment of the long-running franchise to do so. While games like Odyssey and Origins may be a little too resource-intensive for a console like the Switch, there are still plenty of other entries in the series that are viable candidates. Plenty of Assassin’s Creed games from the Xbox 360 and PS3 era still have yet to be ported, however that may not be the case for long.
According to Greek online retailer The Console Club, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue will both be coming to Switch on December 6th. The listing was spotted by a ResetEra user, check out the screengrab below:
The timing is quite convenient as Nintendo recently announced another one of their Direct showcases for tomorrow. These presentations typically carry a ton of new game announcements and ports of existing titles, so it’s fair to expect some kind of confirmation of these games heading to Switch soon. Assassin’s Creed III’s Switch version was plagued with performance and audio issues, so it’ll be interesting to see if Ubisoft can address those issues in this version, especially since the scale of Black Flag is absolutely massive compared to that of III. We’ll see when Nintendo Direct goes live tomorrow at 6 pm EST, 3 pm PST.
