Troll Ruins Historic Moment in Elite Dangerous History During In-Game Event (VIDEO)
Within the game of Elite Dangerous are multiple mysteries hidden within the galaxy. One of the most well-known is the Formidine Rift Mystery. The Rift is 10,000 light years away from inhabited space within the game, also known as “the bubble”, located in the Upper 2 Quadrant of our galaxy. The mystery surrounding the Formidine Rift may lead to the lost planet of Raxxla, a legendary world with alien architecture that serve as gateways to other universes. Raxxla is only mentioned in myth and lore within the Elite universe and players have searched far and wide for clues to the fabled planet. An in-game event concerning the rift took place over the weekend and made Elite Dangerous history with a major twist.
The event followed an in-game character named Salomé, who held information that would help further the mystery. Two major player groups called the Premonition Allied Coalition (PAC) and the Children of Raxxla gathered together to protect Salomé on her journey back to core systems of inhabited space, while other various groups either joined in to protect or kill her. The character was piloted by writer Drew Wagar and the outcome of the in-game event would be would be written into his next tie-in novel Reclamation alongside the players who protected or killed her.
You would think that with the combined firepower of the two major factions who dedicated themselves to the task of protecting Salomé that it would be an easy feat to bring her home safely. PAC alone held over 3,000 members and preformed as backup for The Children of Raxxla were assigned to personally protect Salomé. Unfortunately, their efforts were in vain as Salomé was blindsided by a group of trolls by the name of the Smiling Dog Crew, who were supposedly protecting her. The player who achieved the kill was one of the most infamous players of the group named Harry Potter, and will now live on in Elite Dangerous infamy as the man who killed Salomé. Trolls are generally very frustrating to deal with but honestly, what this group did was impressive. Over the past few months the group had gone fairly quiet, not being the trolls they generally are, this allowed them to help out in the protection of Salomé. This gave them access to her location at all times and the permission to be in the systems she was in without PAC following their kill on sight mentality for the event. Of course, that led to a huge turn of events in Elite Dangerous history.
A major player in the search for Raxxla is now dead and the information may never be recovered, Wagar himself confirmed the kill.
Commander Salomé, ex-Senator and disgraced lady Kahina Tijani Loren of the empire, is dead. She was confirmed killed at 20:49 gametime on 29th April, 3303, succumbing to hostile fire from Commander Harry Potter.”
