Nordic THQ’s Biomutant Delayed, New Open World Gameplay Revealed (VIDEO)
Nordic THQ’s marketing strategy for Biomutant has been relatively demure. As phenomenal as the game looks since it was first revealed, it has come a long ways in terms of visuals and gameplay options. Even though developer Experiment 101 has officially announced a delay to 2019, a good dose of open-world gameplay was shown off to give fans and onlookers a taste of what Biomutant has to offer.
According to PlayStation Access, Biomutant is still in alpha stages of development and “a long way from finished.” That may not be the bets of news, but it means Experiment 101 is serious about getting everything right. It offers something a different experience that sets itself apart from the titles on the market now, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out when the game launches in 2019. Despite its spot on the current timeline, the creative hands behind the scenes are shaping it up to be an unforgettable and action-packed experience.
Biomutant takes on an entirely unique direction in third-person combat with a martial arts style system that allows “maximum freedom of movement and agility” whilst mixing aspects of melee, powerful abilities, and ranged weaponry. Progression is an important aspect of playing Biomutant as Wushu combat styles can be acquired as one’s character continues on their adventure in the open world. There’s a lot of creative freedom in how one chooses to build their character. All the while, there’s also a story to be told, one of a deadly plague and a world in need of a hero to save it from demise.
