ThinkGeek IRL – ThinkGeek Continues to Open New Store Locations

Founded in 1999, ThinkGeek developed their massive following predominately online. They are a retail sanctuary for all things geeky and nerdy and continue to expand their reach in the United States. On September 25th, 2015, they opened the very first physical store in Orlando, Florida. Just last year!

Soon, two new locations will open in Indiana – one in Greenwood and Indianapolis. Both stores will be located inside of a mall, and are expected to open on November 11th, 2016. Excluding these two, there are 12 ThinkGeek locations in Texas, Florida, New York, Oklahoma, Georgia, and North Carolina. Eleven more stores are expected to open across the United States in Massachusetts, Washington state, Texas, and New York!

ThinkGeek’s popularity has grown tremendously over the past few years, due in part by the variety of products they sell. There are shot glasses, figurines, watches, kitchenware, clothing – if there is anything you can think of, they probably have an item inspired by your favorite fandom.

With the increasing acceptance and love for geek culture, it is no wonder they are expanding so rapidly. There are science fiction, anime, comic book, video game, and technology conventions across the United States. Well known directors take on roles for series like Star Wars and Star Trek, and opening nights at theaters have lines trailing out the doors.

And just in time for the holidays, ThinkGeek is even selling Christmas tree charms and decorations inspired by Star Wars. I mean, why have a delicate angel when you can have Darth Vader at the top of your tree? That’s what I’m talking about.
