The Medium Dev Teases “Super Secret Feature” For Next-Gen

The Medium Secret Feature

During the recent event that featured gameplay from the upcoming Xbox Series X, fans got to take in a handful of new games that will be available on the console. One such title was Bloober Team’s The Medium, a new psychological horror game that is giving off some major Silent Hill vibes. That said, one dev from the team recently teased a “super secret” next-gen feature that will be part of the experience.

Bloober Team’s Wojciech Piejko recently spoke with Eurogamer about The Medium, which was initially announced back in 2012. According to Piejko, the next generation technology is what helped Bloober create the upcoming title, causing the wait to be as long as it has been. “Only the next-gen horsepower [has given] us tools to create the game that we wanted,” Piejko said, “that’s why we’ve been waiting for this for a long time.”

However, when it comes to what exactly the next generation of technology offers Bloober to create The Medium, Piejko kept that to himself. He did note that it is a “super secret feature” that the devs will be holding onto until a later reveal. The developer did offer a bit of information about the feature, however, saying that “it’s something to do with how the worlds interact with each other” as well as how players will be able to experience them.

The Medium is expected to arrive during the 2020 holiday season for PC and Xbox Series X. In case you missed the reveal trailer, that can be found right here.
