Original ‘The Legend Of Zelda’ Map Has Been Recreated In Fortnite (VIDEO)
Seeing full 3D re-creations of classic video games in modern game engines can be a lot of fun. Beyond the transformation into modern game aesthetics, though, it’s also awesome when these custom maps are fully functional. Today we have one of the best examples of going the extra mile in these types of projects from YouTuber Mustard Plays, as the streamer has created the original ‘The Legend of Zelda’ map in Fortnite Creative mode. Check out his thorough run-through of this amazing map in the video below:
As you can see this is one of the more impressive looking creations in the Fortnite community. Mustard seems to have created everything from Death Mountain to the Lost Woods, to the final showdown with Ganon. While the map certainly looks good, there are some considerations made. Mustard couldn’t bring the enemies from the original game in, though he does have a few AI enemies in later areas of the map. He also went the extra mile and created lots of traps and jumping puzzles that gel well with the franchise traditions of The Legend of Zelda.
The sheer amount of care put into the project like getting the sword in the cave at the start and collecting Triforce pieces in each dungeon to unlock the final encounter is truly impressive. Unfortunately, you won’t face Ganon at the end. Instead, a tough maze with changing paths and tight platforming stands between players and the final piece of the Triforce. The code for this map is 2326-3456-6999, give it a go today!
