System Shock Remake Shows Off Full 7 Minutes Of Gameplay (VIDEO)
The original System Shock was a gaming classic and with Nightdive Studios helming the franchise’s upcoming remake, it seems as though fans are going to be in for a treat. There have been a few trailers as well as an official alpha demo in the past showing off small tidbits of what fans will be able to expect with the title, but a recent trailer has arrived showing off a full 7 minutes of gameplay goodness.
The recent trailer is somewhat of a teaser trailer from Nightdive yet it plays out more or less like a gameplay trailer following what appears to be one of the missions that players will experience in the game. The trailer shows off multiple cramped-looking spaces filled with puzzles, lumbering enemies, and more. Some UI elements are also worth noting as well, including a deck-building inventory system as seen in games like Resident Evil and The Witcher franchises. Towards the end of the trailer, fans are treated to some boss action with a fight involving a large robotic enemy. Overall, it looks like the game is shaping up to be quite an experience.
The System Shock remake has been in development for quite a long time and has gone through quite a few issues since originally getting the green light. After shifting plans for the project a few years ago, development now seems to be moving along quite smoothly. Still, the title has yet to receive a release date, though, it is expected to arrive sometime later this summer for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
