Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Leak Reveals New Amiibo on the Way
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has an impressive cast of fighters ranging from Mario to guest characters from franchises like Pokemon, Metroid, Metal Gear Solid, and more. Many of these have their very own Amiibo figures that have the capability to link up with certain games and give players special extra content as a result. A new leak reveals that some yet to be announced Amiibo may be on their way.
An image showcasing a list of coming Amiibo has arrived on the figures’ subreddit by way of a Discord server and features a whole host of character figures such as the male Pokemon trainer and Snake, both have images of what their figures will look like. Alongside these are the names of other characters such as Dark Samus, Chrom, Simon, Richter, Squirtle, and Ivysaur, though they don’t have images attached.
A recent report from Nintendo Wire states that the site has received confirmation that the leak is legitimate. The report also mentions that the leak comes by way of a recently released Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Guide in Japan. While that does seem to add some credibility to the rumor of new Amiibo in the works, Nintendo themselves has yet to make an official confirmation. Until that happens, we’re keeping this in the rumor pile.
