Super Mario 3D All-Stars Puma Shoe Collection Coming Soon
Sure, you could simply enjoy a game and reminisce about all the memories a cult classic video game franchise has created, but why not wear it too? There’s certainly no shortage of exclusive clothing lines. The likes of BlackMilk have released collaborative clothing merchandise for series like Animal Crossing and Super Mario in the past. Now, there’s a Super Mario 3D shoe line and it’s coming next week.
This is the second collaborative drop between Puma and Super Mario. This time it was created in celebration of the video game franchise’s 35th anniversary that takes the iconic colors, graphics, and characters as design elements on a line of shoes. Inspired by titles such as Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy, Puma meshes these nostalgic titles with some of their most unique silhouettes – the Clyde, Future Rider, RS-Fast, and the RS-Dreamer. Check a few of them out below:
“Mario’s adventures in the tropical Isle Delfino are the inspiration for the design of the Clyde and RS-Dreamer Super Mario Sunshine, the latter is court ready with PUMA Hoops technology,” Puma described. “Both feature details from the water-filled game, like the F.L.U.D.D., the Shine Sprites, and overall color scheme. The Clyde Super Mario Sunshine also includes a Mario hangtag where he is seen holding his F.L.U.D.D.”
The Future Rider Super Mario 64 was inspired by the first 3D adventure of Super Mario. The design was based on the iconic red shirt and blue overalls, wing cap, and a color palette inspired by the game’s landscape. It also features a set of bricks that protrude on the midsole, wings on the heel, and a themed hangtag to top it off.
It’s not all just red and blue though. Based on the 2007 Super Mario Galaxy game, the RS-Fast is a cosmic blend of black, purple, white, and metallic silver. It even sports a “galactic print” of black with white speckling at the visible sole. Last but not least, a Future Rider inspired by the Nintendo Entertainment system features the well-known red, grey, and black color combination.
The Super Mario 3D All-Stars shoe collection – Future Rider Super Mario 64, the Clyde and RS-Dreamer Super Mario Sunshine, and RS-Fast Super Mario Galaxy – will be available beginning Friday, November 27th. Meanwhile, the NES-inspired Future Rider will become available on Friday, December 4th directly on the Puma website here.
