Stranger Things Season 4 Won’t Be The End Confirms Duffer Brothers

Stranger Things

Stranger Things season 4 will not be enough to tie up the story according to Matt and Ross Duffer in an interview with THR. When they were asked if Season 4 would be the last, Ross responded with “Season four won’t be the end. We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.”

This is great news for all of those who are a fan of the show that began it’s rise to popularity with the first season which premiered on Netflix back in 2016. Production for the hit show Stranger Things was brought to a screeching halt in March of this year as Netflix pulled the plug on filming in the US (and Canada) to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

In the interview, neither Matt or Ross Duffer offered a time in which production will continue, instead Ross stated “Everyone’s excited to get back to work, but the priority is the safety of the cast and crew, and that will dictate when we go back.” Matt Duffer also added “We’ve had a lot more time to work on the scripts. For the first time, we have all the scripts written and we’re able to look at it as a whole piece and make adjustments.”

Stranger Things takes place in the 80’s filling viewers with a sense of nostalgia with a wave of supernatural themes. Season 1 starts following a group of friends (Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will) and quickly escalates to a search and rescue mission. The story only unfolds with more twists and turns with the introduction of Eleven, a mysterious girl who has strange powers.

Though it seems that the Duffer Brothers have an idea on how to end Stranger Things, there has been nothing said about where the story will go or how it will end. All we know is that Season 3 has some explaining to do!
