WATCH: Star Wars Rebels Returns For Final Season With Ian McDiarmid As Emperor Palpatine
While some thought Disney would ruin the Star Wars franchise, for one animated series it’s been just the opposite. The second half of the Star Wars Rebels final season is just around the corner teasing the end of a brilliantly well made show. LucasFilm recently made the announcement that the final stretch would be making its return this February.
The second half of the season will begin February 19th at 9 PM EST. The latest trailer, seen below, also confirms that Ian McDiarmid will be debuting the animated version of his live-action role as Emeperor Palpatine, check it out below!
Star Wars Rebels first aired on October 3rd, 2014 bringing fans a tale of a ragtag group of misfits fighting back against the Imperial regime during the Rebellion’s beginning. Since then, the show has continued to grow in popularity due to its wonderful art style, excellent storytelling, and unique characters. It has featured various characters from the iconic franchise including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Maul, and more. It even it even tied in with the individual Star Wars film as seen with Saw Gerrera from Star Wars: Rogue One.
