PlayStation Furniture Line Helps Sony Go Chic

PlayStation 4 Purple

PlayStation and Pottery Barn sounds more like a weird joke than a corporate crossover. Yet Sony has partnered with the home decor giant, putting out a sleek line of PS4-themed furnishings. Just in time for the holidays for any gamer swimming in cash!

The new line in Pottery Barn Teen includes a gaming media console, lounge table, acrylic cubbies for games, and a neon light and beanbag chair featuring the classic PlayStation controller shapes. All told, the full collection costs a little more than $2,000, depending on how many beanbags you desire. At $249, those chairs figure to be the most popular items in the collection.

PlayStation Furniture

Two grand may seem like a lot for PlayStation furniture and accessories, but it actually feels like a fair price. Pottery Barn’s website states that players can “create the ultimate gaming experience,” which does feel a bit much. However, there’s no denying that they went all-in on crafting a line for the PlayStation aficionado. True Sony fans light up at the sight of those classic shapes. The neon sign could fit in any gamer’s room. And those beanbag chairs look comfy. If you remove the gaming media console from the equation, the price tag nearly cuts in half. That at least warrants consideration for any true PS player.

The next question is which Sony console to rock on that console. Obviously, most fans would choose the PS4; 86 million units shipped doesn’t lie. However, Sony just announced the first lineup of games for the PlayStation Classic mini-console, which drops December 3. It looks big enough that they both may fit, so you’ll just need to choose which takes precedence. We may have to wait for the PS5, but more awesome products like these should keep us sated. More free games always helps, too.

What do you think, fellow PlayStation players? Are you considering getting any part of the new Sony line? Do you think the Xbox crowd is jealous? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Be sure to follow Don’t Feed The Gamers on Facebook and Twitter for more video game news and updates!
