Sony Reveals Four New PlayStation 4 Controller Color Schemes (GALLERY)
Sony has added some pretty impressive color schemes for its Dualshock controllers over the years, with Steel Black and Midnight Blue being the most recent additions to the pool. Now, with the Fall season right around the corner, Sony has announced that four new PlayStation 4 controller color schemes are coming soon!
Revealed in a new bog post on the official PlayStation website, the new PlayStation 4 controller colors are Berry Blue, Sunset Orange, Blue Camo, and Copper. “Bright, playful, and fun, the new Berry Blue edition brings new flavor to the DS4 lineup,” the blog post reads, “while the vibrant Sunset Orange brings a little heat to your gameplay. The two-tone design offers a stylish contrast that makes buttons and sticks pop!” It should be noted that Sunset Orange was available to purchase for a limited time late last year, so it’s nice to see the color scheme making a comeback.
If two-tone colors aren’t your thing, the Blue Camo and Copper colors are equally good options to add to your controller lineup. “If you’re a fan of trendy patterns, the Blue Camouflage DS4 will be right up your alley,” says Sony. “Alternatively, if you’d prefer sticking to one color, stand out with another metallic addition to the lineup with the shiny and refined new Copper DS4. Check out all four new color schemes below:
Those interested in picking up any of the new controllers can do so when they go on sale this September, and they will be available “while supplies last.” The controllers retail for $64.99. Copper will initially be a GameStop exclusive in the US before becoming available through other retailers.
