Skate 4 Development Update Revealed – “We’re Working On It” (VIDEO)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the tentatively-titled Skate 4, but that omission has ended with the reveal of a new development update. Offering the simple message of, “We’re working on it,” developer Full Circle revealed they have been showing gameplay to select members of the Skate community and taking feedback to ensure they “don’t f**k it up.” None of that tasty gameplay was shown in the trailer, as work on the fourquel is still considered too “early” in its life cycle.

Skate 4 was originally revealed to be in the works just over a year ago, with series developers Deran Chung and Cuz Parry returning as key designers for the upcoming project. The announcement notably sparked the creation of Full Circle, a newly-created development studio in the EA family tasked with crafting the next entry in the Skate franchise. As further details appear to be sparse for the time being, this latest reveal of “something” is definitely better than the alternative.

This new update comes after the Skate 4 team announced the game would not make an appearance at EA Play Live, joining a growing list of other in-development titles sitting out Electronic Arts’ approaching event. While this is sure to be a bummer for fans, Full Circle assured the game has made some significant progress behind the scenes, with “a bunch of super talented people” already having “joined the family” for the new game. “It’s still early and we are committed to doing this thing right which means it’s gonna take some time,” read the recent post.

Our number one goal is not to blow it. For you, fo us… for Skate.”
