Skate 4 Development Studio ‘Full Circle’ Revealed By EA
After a decade of waiting by fans, Skate 4 was finally revealed by Electronic Arts last year, and while the announcement was decidedly low-key, the series’ fans were undoubtedly triple-kickflipping with delight. However, since the skateboarding fourquel was confirmed, very little has been gleaned about the title as EA remained quiet on the game’s progress. After several months, the publisher has now uttered word on the upcoming Skate 4, revealing an all-new studio named Full Circle will be heading up the project.
Hi! Yes, we’re still working on the next Skate and we officially formed a studio to prove it! https://t.co/Ha1Zf9omyI pic.twitter.com/2M3WNvzBxb

In a new statement via VentureBeat, Full Circle was announced as the newest developer in the EA family, joining the likes of other Vancouver-based studios such as EA Sports and Respawn Entertainment. The Skate 4 team is confirmed to bring back series alumni Deran Chung and Cuz Parry as key designers, with the studio being lead by the former head of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Daniel McCulloch. “The fans wished Skate back into existence, and we want them to feel involved in the process from development to game launch and beyond,” McCulloch said in the statement.
We’re all about having fun and making great games that people want to play with their friends. And, we’re looking for more developers to help us build compelling worlds for players to explore.”
As of now, Full Circle is looking to fill out its newly-christened ranks, with several notable job openings currently looking for designers, engineers, and artists alike on the official EA website. The wide array of available applications is sure to be an exciting opportunity for talented devs, but likely less-so for fans hopeful Skate 4 might arrive anytime soon. With that in mind, it’s likely best this long-brewing project is set to simmer, especially with such enthusiastic personnel already on board. “We’re so stoked to be back working on Skate,” said Chung and Parry.
Some would say things have come full circle.”
