Atlus Games recently announced that the 2009 game, which was initially released on the Nintendo DS, would be re-released on the 3DS, and with it a slew of new features. New features include new characters, voice lines, cutscenes, and more animations that the original did not include. Deep Strange Journey on the 3DS will also have an exclusive ending that varies from the ending of the initial game. If that doesn’t excite you, wait until you check out the trailer below:
Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey is set to release sometime in the fall of this year. The only downside is that as of now, that release is only set for Japan. No word has been given whether or not the revamped version of the cult classic will make its way to US players. Don’t lose hope though, while the franchise has a larger foot in the Japanese market, the US has our own band of loyal fans. The Persona series is especially popular in the States, and may prove to be the key to getting more Western releases of the hit Japanese style role-playing games.
