Sephiroth Announced For Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, Coming Soon (VIDEO)
One-Winged Angel Sephiroth is finally making his grand entrance in Square Enix’s Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia. A mobile spin-off of Dissidia Final Fantasy NT for the PlayStation 4, the JRPG recently held a vote as to which character would be implemented into the game earlier than scheduled, with the Masamune-wielding heartthrob deftly defeating the second place winner, Rydia (FFIV). Square Enix has released a new video teasing Sephiroth’s arrival amidst an understandably confused Cloud. Check it out below:
As seen in the video, Sephiroth comes packing two of his more well-known attacks moves – Octoslash and Fervent Blow – both of which have been used against the player in their fights against him during events held within the game. His specialty seems to be that of a Bravery breaker, though his Jenova passive also allows him to debuff his opponent’s speed while increasing his own. A rather nice, nostalgic touch is the fight in which his moves are displayed, where he is shown accompanying Cloud in a battle against a green dragon, just like he did in a flashback scene in FF7. The way the video is set up highlights all of what Sephiroth is, which is pure fan service to those that grew up throwing hundreds of hours into Final Fantasy VII.
Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is now available free-to-play on Android and iOS devices.
