The web-headed superhero Spider-Man is making his first solo outing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe later this summer in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and that fact carries a bit of anticipation for the upcoming film. So far, a couple trailers packed with equal parts action and awkward teen problems have been released, showing off a different version of the red and blue hero than we’ve been used to seeing in the past. A new Homecoming clip, unveiled during the MTV Movie & TV Awards features a few of those changes, namely Peter’s (Tom Holland) inability to keep his secret identity hidden from his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon). Check it out in the video below:

The clip begins when Peter, in full Spider-Man attire, is discovered by his friend Ned while returning home, presumably after laying a smackdown on some baddies. A hilarious exchange of bumbling and disbelief follows which ends with Ned confessing his likely inability to keep the Spider-Man news to himself, calling it “the greatest thing that’s ever happened” to him. Another small scene plays out involving Peter and character Michelle (Zendaya) hanging out in a school setting. As Peter tries to leave on some Spider-Man business, Michelle very dryly asks if he is hiding anything, to which Peter responds with stunned silence. To that, Michelle sarcastically drops the inquiry, commenting that she never cared in the first place. Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to swing into theaters July 7, 2017.
