Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game Is Limited Run’s Biggest Release Ever

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Numerous hit independent and digital release-focused video games have been able to see physical releases thanks to the fine folks at Limited Run Games. The publisher/developer has helped craft physical copies for previously digital-only games like Undertale and Celeste. After a decade, the latest title to receive this treatment was the new release of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition, finally arising from purgatory with several nifty physical collector’s editions of the game available. It seems that the pre-orders for the game have helped the Scott Pilgrim game become the biggest release for Limited Run Games ever.

Limited Run Games’ Dougie Bogart recently shared a tweet on their official Twitter account, confirming the monumental achievement made by the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game. According to Bogart, within 3 hours of the game being made available for pre-order, the Nintendo Switch version of the game alone sold 25,000 copies. Just considering that version alone and excluding any sales of the PS4 version of the game, the Scott Pilgrim game has now become the biggest release of all time for Limited Run Games.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World

Among the variations of the new Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition are a standard $35 version with just the game, a $55 classic edition that comes with reversible covers, stickers, a map, soundtrack CD, and more! The $140 K.O. edition of the game comes with everything in the classic edition, plus a premium roadie’s case that opens up and presents a pop-up-style concert stage with Sex Bob-Omb playing their hits. These are all lovingly-crafted celebrations of Scott Pilgrim and his friends and it’s great to see these physical editions selling so well. Hello again, friend of a friend.
