WATCH: Saw Chapter DLC Officially Revealed For Dead By Daylight, Release Date Confirmed

Saw Chapter DLC

Let the games begin! After a heavily implied teaser videoDead by Daylight has officially revealed the asymmetrical survival game’s next killer: Jigsaw from the Saw franchise. The forthcoming Saw Chapter DLC was expected to bring the John Kramer version of horror icon into the fray, but a recent leak have suggested some creative liberties may be in order. It looks like we’ll know for sure soon as Behaviour Interactive and Starbreeze Studios have finally confirmed that it will be time to play the game tomorrow on January 23.

Even more has been revealed in the trailer below, where we have official confirmation that Jigsaw will don the terrifying pig disguise featured in the films. The character will also be solely known as “The Pig” and will utilize Reverse Bear Traps in the 4v1 gameplay. The Saw Chapter DLC was also said to include the new Survivor character of David Tapp, who was portrayed by actor Danny Glover in the first Saw film.

Along with The Pig and David Tapp, Dead by Daylight‘s Saw Chapter DLC is also set to bring the killer’s infamous rundown bathroom lair into the game, featuring it as map called Gideon Meatpacking Plant. Longtime fans will recognize this locale as the area where Jigsaw has rubbed failure in the face of victims on several occasions with the emphatic phrase “game over”.

The Saw Chapter DLC may have revealed a nice amount of info regarding the release, it does leave more than a few questions unanswered. How the character will act in a gameplay scenario is at the top of the list, with only a leaked power providing some kind of clue. There’s also questions regarding if John Kramer will be featured at all, with some theories pointing to his apprentice Amanda Young as game’s only Pig antagonist. We’ll find out when The Saw Chapter DLC releases on January 23. Dead by Daylight is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
