Rocket Arena Officially Revealed In Explosive New Gameplay Trailer (VIDEO)

Of all the interesting EA Play reveals that happened today, Final Strike Games studio’s Rocket Arena is, well, by far the most explosive. Revealed in a lengthy gameplay trailer, Rocket Arena throws players into some epic 3v3 PvP goodness where your only weapons are, well, rockets!

First Strike Games used today’s EA Play event to reveal some of what to expect from the slightly Fortnite-looking Rocket Arena. “Rockets rule everything in Rocket Arena,” the video’s description reads. Master your hero’s unique rockets and abilities to dominate the arena and become a champion! Try out an ever-growing roster of diverse heroes with distinctive powers. Unearth new strategies and tactics based on your squad, explore a wide variety of dynamic maps, and discover the true depth of rocket gameplay.” Check out the gameplay trailer below:

So, what else can one expect from the new title? “With the blasting mechanic, our rockets don’t damage players the way a traditional shooter does,” Final Strike Games CEO Kevin Franklin said to gamesradar in a recent interview. “They blast them around the arena. So we had to develop a blast bar, a physics impulse model, make it feel really good the way that players bounce off the environment. We had to build the return system, which allows you to – once you’ve been knocked out – to fly back into the action. That’s all part of our ‘Never Say Die’ combat loop.”

Those looking forward to the game needn’t wait long, as Rocket Arena is slated to release this July for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with full cross-play multiplayer support.
