Road Redemption Release Trailer Brings Back The Nostalgia (VIDEO)

Road Redemption

The nostalgia of days past sitting in front of a Nintendo 64 playing Road Rash for hours on end may be long gone, but soon fans will be able to refuel their needs for motorcycle combat. Road Redemption, a new title with similar aspects to its spiritual predecessor, will be coming out in the near future. In preparation for the impending release, Dark Seas Games has uploaded the Official Road Redemption release trailer.

The time for high-speed motorcycle racing, while attempting to take out fellow competitors by any means necessary, has returned. The trailer highlights some of the features to expect from the game. One of these aspects is the various means at which your competition can be taken out. This includes bats, hammers, katanas, bombs, guns, and much more. You can also utilize the changing environment around the player, like passing cars or obstructions on the side the road.

Other items that are highlighted in the video are the many ways to upgrade your racer. One of these methods is the Store, where in-game cash can be used to buy items to enhance your character or heal – though store items and cash are lost when you die. The other method is the permanent upgrades menu. In this menu, players will be able to use XP gained in the game to level up different features like health, nitro, strength, and money making skills. Upgrades applied in this menu “last forever”; be careful with the upgrades you apply.

Road Redemption releases on PC, PS4, Wii U, and Xbox One on October 4th, 2017. The game is currently available to PC players through Early Access on Steam.
