To celebrate the release of the game, the official launch trailer has been released by publishers Bandai Namco Entertainment.

We had the opportunity to interview the publishers at this year’s E3 event about Project Cars 2, where we learned all about the new additions that have been added to the game to improve the player experience. For example, the true-to-life handling that has been introduced which can be best understood when playing the different variations of tracks. On an asphalt track, players might have better grip and be able to make an easier turn. Switching over to a dirt track, on the other hand, expect to slide through the entire turn if underestimated.

Another great feature regarding the tracks is that they correspond to the current weather and time of that location – called ‘Living Tracks’ by the developers. For example, if the selected track is Chicago in January around night time, expect a dark and snowy track. The game offers 140 dynamic living tracks across 60 locations. The different seasons and weather environments can be seen in the official launch trailer from Bandai Namco Entertainment.

One other important note about the game is the stunning visuals. This fact is very apparent in the 4K official launch trailer that showcases how beautiful the game really is. Project Cars 2 allows their drivers to hop in the seat of 180 vehicles to compete in 29 different motorsports. Take to singleplayer to see everything the game has to offer, or hop the competitive online mode that is offered.
