Returnal Delayed By Sony And Housemarque

Returnal delay

PlayStation fans were excited to see Housemarque reveal their upcoming sci-fi title, especially after seeing the recent combat trailer. While it was originally set to arrive in March, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Housemarque have now officially delayed Returnal, but only by a month and a half.

The official PlayStation Twitter account recently sent out an update on Returnal, stating that it has a new release date. “SIE and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque,” reads the tweet. “See you in April!”

For those not caught up on what Returnal is all about, here is a brief description:

“After crash-landing on this shape-shifting world, Selene must search through the barren landscape of an ancient civilization for her escape. Isolated and alone, she finds herself fighting tooth and nail for survival. Again and again, she’s defeated – forced to restart her journey every time she dies. Through relentless roguelike gameplay, you’ll discover that just as the planet changes with every cycle, so do the items at your disposal. Every loop offers new combinations, forcing you to push your boundaries and approach combat with a different strategy each time.”

Returnal is currently slated to arrive on April 30th exclusively for PlayStation 5. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
