Resident Evil 3 Remake Release Date, Details Reportedly Leaked
One of the biggest gaming events to happen so far in 2019 has been the Resident Evil 2 remake. The update on the classic game has been incredibly well-received, a financial success and continues to remain in conversations thanks to hilarious mods and memes. Given this success, many have wondered whether or not Capcom will continue to remake games in the series, namely Resident Evil 3, which would be the next core entry in the franchise to tackle. While Capcom has yet to officially announce their plans for future Resident Evil remakes, one fan has released a Resident Evil 3 leak which may point to a release date and some unexpected developer news.
The series will be kinda “unofficially” almost annual for the next few years, though of course as game development goes anything could be delayed. For example, RE8 got a bit delayed and I can say to you now that you shouldn’t expect it until next-gen is on the table. What is on

Twitter user AestheticGamer recently shared a series of tweets which contains what appears to be a significant Resident Evil 3 leak. While the leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, AestheticGamer previously made several predictive leaks about Resident Evil 7 which turned out to be true, so this leak very well might be as well. According to AestheticGamer, Capcom will unofficially make Resident Evil an annualized franchise. With Resident Evil 8 development being delayed, it thus falls on the Resident Evil 3 remake to be released in 2020, which AestheticGamer believes will fall in the month of January.
AestheticGamer also states something peculiar about the remake’s development. It seems that, if true, Capcom will turn to a third party to develop the game. While AestheticGamer does not reveal the potential developer, they do say that it is a “very interesting” choice. One prevailing theory is that Platinum Games, which consists of many former Capcom employees, might develop the Resident Evil 3 remake. Time will tell if these leaks are indeed true, but either way, these revelations are certainly as surprising as a random encounter with Mr. X.
