Redfall Trademarked By Bethesda’s Parent Company

This could be exciting news for fans of Bethesda franchises, especially for those looking forward to the already revealed Elder Scrolls VI.  Bethesda parent company, Zenimax, filed a brand new trademark last week marked “Redfall” last week, but what does that indicate exactly? Though Todd Howard asks fans to be “patient” in anticipation of the next ESO title, could the new trademark indicate progress on that front or another series entirely?

Since the file went public, many fans and Redditors have speculated that this indicates development for Elder Scrolls VI, which makes sense considering Zenimax had a hand in Oblivion and Morrowind. Truth be told, it could be anything.  Other than Bethesda, Zenimax works with well-known developers such as Arkane, id Software, Machine Games, and Tango Gameworks. This could mean anything from The Evil Within, Wolfenstein, Quake, Dishonored, ESO, to Fallout. All are likely candidates.

Wolfenstein 3 was confirmed by Bethesda not long ago, though when exactly that will happen is a mystery. Justia Trademarks divulges nothing on details regarding Redfall, other than the fact that it’s classified under entertainment and video games. It won’t be long until a die-hard fan does some digging to reveal more, or Zenimax reveals official news on Redfall. For now, it’s best to rest easy until that happens.

Which IP or franchise do you think Redfall is a codename for if it’s a codename at all? Since Zenimax was the one to file, it could have anything to do with Quake, Elder Scrolls, or any of the lesser known titles they’ve worked with. Let us know what you think in the comments section below or start a conversation on DFTG Facebook page.
