Red Hood Release Date Announced for Injustice 2, Will Be Available Next Week
NetherRealm Studios’ DC-inspired fighting game Injustice 2 hit consoles just last month and the game has earned a great deal of praise for its presentation, gameplay, and inclusive story. One of the more beloved aspects of the game is its large roster of fighters, 28 unique fighters in total (29, if pre-ordered). Fans of the character-inclusive fighter won’t have long until more is revealed, thanks to the Fighter Pack 1 DLC, which will see the addition of DC favorites Red Hood and Starfire, as well as Mortal Kombat veteran Sub Zero. After a few weeks of teasing, NetherRealm has now announced a Red Hood release date for Injustice 2 with the gun-toting villain being available next week.
According to Injustice 2‘s latest Watchtower Stream, Red Hood will be available on June 13th for those who purchase the Fighter Pack 1 DLC or the Ultimate Edition of the game. Those who only wish to only nab the former Robin will only need to wait an additional week to buy the character separately. No price point for the standalone DLC has been issued as of yet, but the Fighter Pack DLC retails for $19.99 USD on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Ultimate Edition goes for a much heftier $99.99 USD, or $39.99 USD for the digital add-on pack.
More characters are set to come to Injustice 2 in the future, but so far, only a Red Hood release date has been issued. Since E3 is almost upon us, it shouldn’t be too long before NetherRealm gives us more to hype over.
