Red Dead Redemption 2 Rumors on GTA Forums – Story Content Accidentally Revealed?
It’s been awhile since we’ve had any word on the latest cowboy, gun-slinging adventure Red Dead Redemption 2, and aside from a trailer and sparse articles on the game’s advancement over the past several months, Rockstar has been infuriatingly silent on the story coming our way. With the possibility that we’ll actually see this game hit shelves sometime this year, it’s probably a good time for the game developers to give us a closer look into the wild-west adventure we just can’t wait to get our hands on. Luckily for us, fan theories are a thing of beauty, and some rumors churning out on GTA Forums just might have painted a vague picture of what we might expect out of the latest title.
According to the post, actor Matt Bradford had briefly posted a resume of his work, stating he was doing motion capture for a character named Dutch in Red Dead Redemption 2, before the post was removed online. If this is true, this could mean we might actually be getting a prequel story to the original title, since Dutch was the leader of John Marston’s gang in Rockstar’s last installment. Similarly, actor Roger Grunwald listed that he was also doing motion capture work, playing a German psychiatrist known as Menchen. At the time, the resume listing was for an unnamed Take Two Interactive/Rockstar Games project, which we can now only assume is Red Dead Redemption 2. Another clue that was discussed on the GTA Forums is that Noshir Dalal has recently made friends with several notable voice actors, including Rob Wiethoff, Roger Clark, and Benjamin Byron Davis, as well as possible project titles revealed on the SAG-AFTRA website. Perhaps Dalal’s character will be involved in the possible gang that will be heading the story in the new title?
It’s all definitely a lot to wrap our heads around, for sure! Unfortunately, while the GTA Forums post doesn’t exactly draw a definitely conclusion as to what the game will definitely be about, it certainly gives gamers some thoughts to chew over as we wait for Rockstar Games to reveal more about the coming title. In the meantime, make sure you check back with us frequently as we continue to follow Rockstar’s progress and draw ever closer to that reported Fall release!
